Engineered for performance
Materials used are the best available. The aluminium drum is forged rather than casted, offering an increase in strength and reduction in weight. All parts are of the highest quality, and their shape is optimised for maximum efficiency. Holmatro has created a lightweight but tough winch.
Gripping stuff
Efficiency increased by splitting radial and vertical grip on the drum.
- maximum radial grip (the grip used to maximize sheeting power), and
- maximum vertical run (the ease of which a rope slides upward).
The grooves in our drum lessen vertical friction and assist the line’s upward movement. Reducing this unwanted friction optimises efficiency and improves a line’s lifespan.
As wrap-tension is spread more evenly over the drum surface, easing is smoother and without shocks!
New technologies
Plain, high-end self-lubricating bearings are used instead of traditional roller bearings. These heavy-duty bearings provide excellent dynamic and improved high static load performance for many trouble free years of demanding use.
